We design, engineer, project manage and construct process plants for the oil,
gas and petrochemical industry and have the breadth of knowledge that spans LNG,
Gas Processing, Gas to Liquids, Refining, Ammonia, Ethylene and
Offsites/Utilities. That means we have many projects in which you can become
involved, allowing you to learn new technologies and develop your skills to the
maximum. Our work is global and so are the career prospects, both short and long
term. So, everything you see here is just a beginning.
Our Piping designers are responsible for the design of the piping from
sizing, composition, thickness, calculating stress levels and layout to safely
carry the fluids and gasses at extreme temperatures through the different
chemical processes required to achieve the end product.
Our Instrument Designers are responsible for the design of the
instrumentation to measure and control the flow, level, pressure and temperature
of gases and liquids through the pipe work and the design of the cabling
connconnecting these instruments to the Integrated Control System for the
plant.
As a Piping or Instrument Design Trainee your BTech course will be in Process
Plant Engineering at Richmond-Upon-Thames College, either full time (September
to June) or day release depending on your current qualifications. The full time
course will also comprise a Basic Technician Training qualification accredited
with our industry training board.
The part-time course may be attended a college/university nearer to your home
or the office if more convenient.
